The professional AIR AMBULANCE quick conversion is designed to use the aircraft in normal utility configuration providing basic patient carriage capability up to a flying intensive care station service. It provides the transport capability for one or more patients according to NACA index VI. The equipment enables medical professionals to provide the highest degree of life–saving support in flight. The equipment can range from a basic stretcher in either single or double capacity to full medical equipment mounting, power and oxygen station with ergonomically positioned storage to keep critical equipment and materials on hand. The Aeromedical station and interior conversion is certified to FAR/JAR 25 and supplied under STC. As each user in this complex environment can have varied requirements, 328SSG will work directly with the client and technical/medical advisors to design the exact match of installation flexibility and equipment carried to meet the primary and secondary missions. |

The Intensive Care Station (ICS) The cabinets include recessed seat tracks to fasten the locker system FWD and AFT, medical equipment carrier and restraint system. It includes Guard tracks for easy stretcher – or incubator loading and unloading. The medical cabinets are easy to clean and disinfect. Between cabinets I and II and between II and III the medical waste bins, made of aluminum, are removable and secured by retainers. The easy to operate Locker system for stretcher fastening FWD and AFT, constructed of steel and aluminum, is adjustable and fitted by quick disconnect adapter and aircraft stud fittings to the recessed seat tracks at the top panels of the ICS cabinets I and III. The rotating base plate is locked in vertical position and can only be opened manually. The Intensive Care Stretcher enables several positions for patient comfort. The back section adjusts from flat to sitting, and includes a head section extension. The modified back section adjustment enables each position to be fixed. It includes pins to fasten the stretcher to the locker system. The stable aluminum frame maintains the patient in a comfortable position. The four point restraint system is equipped with inertia reels for the shoulder belts and rotary buckle for quick release. The leg restraints have push button buckles. To secure the stretcher and patient during take-off, landing and turbulence an additional chest restraint with push button buckles which are fastened to the cabinet II are provided. For the patients comfort the sectional mattress is abrasion and fire resistant, bacteriostatic and resists blood or bodily fluids. The stretcher is easy to clean and disinfect. Typically the patient will be embarked with the head FWD. The Medical Equipment Carrier is “quick change” attached by a quick track lock system to the medical cabinets. The panel contains holders, made of light weight aluminum for storage of medical devices, conveniently located within reach of the medical crew to perform their lifesaving work. The medical devices are secured in supports by retainers and easy removable for outside treatment. Additional accessories such as infusion holders and soft pocket storage are screw fitted to the medical carrier. The visible installed oxygen lines have a keyed quick-connect to supply the oxygen flow meter and respirator. |

Medical Power Distribution Unit (MPDU) Electrical power is applied by an interconnection cable from the aircraft connector to the input jack located at the MPDU. Each output cable is shielded to minimize the electrical radiation from the medical devices. Recharging the battery packs of the medical devices during flight is possible. System power consumption: max 20 A. |
